Great article, it's always nice to tell mom "I love you".

I wanted to do the same thing for my mom and I made a website so anyone can do it too. See how it started here: http://tomomfrom.me/1db2c700.html

What a wonderful post - so many of us take our children for granted so this is such a simple and lovely way to just help us STOP.... pause.... and be enormously grateful - I must pass this idea on to the parents that I work with.
Thank you :)

I appreciated my mom (much more) after I had my first child, true. My mother and I were close but I really felt I understood her, why she was still calling me from east coast to remind me to wear socks because it was cold in california. :-) I get it now. I put on sweater on my child, when I feel cold too. Things we do and feel as a parent!

This is awesome advice. I have a one-year old and another on the way and I'm blown away by how fast the time has flown by (already). I often question my parenting abilities, but in the end I always do what's right to me. I may be a little bit more strict that I thought I would be as a parent, but because of that I get told constantly how good my son is when I take him anywhere. And I take him everywhere with me...restaurants, friends houses, long trips, etc.

I will definitely take this advice to heart. It makes me think of all the stuff MY mom has done for me.

As a mother and Grandmother - how wonderful it would be to receive such a letter! I am sure you will receive many such letters from E &J during their growing up years!
