I’d like to agree, but can’t. There are good times to choose many situations in life. I believe you wish to point out waiting is a poor excuse and in which perfection does not exist. But logic, responsibility and common sense can lead us to choices other than spur of the moment. In some circumstances, there is never a good time. I recently quit a job. I had tried to sell a house and could not. I was burning out and knew it best to leave before I did so. Unfortunately this great economy of the USA lead me to what you write and indeed, in this case, there was no “good” time to quit. Let’s just say some decisions are best made at times when others are not.

I love this post! I’m trying to be more in the present and make every moment count. It’s not always easy and there’s something inside that says, there will be another time. But even in “small matters” like cleaning the house, when I clean as I go and as I see the mess, life is so much better.

Great post. Those who wait for “the good time” to do things may just find themselves waiting a LOOONNNGG time. You have to make the time – create the right time yourself. One never knows what tomorrow holds. Thanks for the great simple post that provokes lots of thoughts!

I love this post! It is so easy to put off the really important things in life until a time that seems more convenient. The problem is it is never a perfect time for these things, and we never know if we’ll have the time that we expect. Hug your kids, tell your Dad you love him and make love to your wife…tomorrow is not promised.

I agree sometimes the best time is now and just to jump in. We recently made that decision for one area of our life regarding financial commitment. Going back and forth over the pros/cons we realized “Now or never” and there’s no perfect time. So we went for it and are happy. Sometimes over-analyzing isn’t the best decision.

I love this. I say this to people all the time regarding having a baby … there will always be an excuse why NOT to do it. In fact, I sometimes muse that had I not gotten pregnant by accident, I’d still be rationalizing why this was not the time to have a baby.
Such a good reminder: we have to make the decisions, and forge ahead, instead of waiting for everything to be perfect first.

This post is wonderful! I use to be one of those people who thought it was never a good time. It can get quite exhausting thinking that way. One day I just decided I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. After making a few changes in my life, the most important one being my diet, I became a new person. I have more energy than I know what to do with. Let’s just say my laundry pile(s) no longer exist.

My body finally feels whole, allowing me to feel that NOW is the best time for anything.
