Be like a child, that's the one! We need to learn to let ourselves go as adults more often and release our inner child. To have fun, be carefree, embrace life all without the restraint of our older self consciousness. After all kids can't be our age but we can be their's.......and why on earth not? Anyone for hide and seek???

I agree this was a wonderful post Anastasia! I love the idea of scheduling fun time with the kids. That way you can be certain to get quality time in with the kids, and feel good and balanced. I find having a routine makes life a lot easier with young children! Have a great day! ;-)

Love this post, Anastasia. As an avid planner who also leads a mindful life, my fun and me times are important parts of our days. It is so important to have real childlike fun at times.. Totally helps to de-stress and recharge!

Laura, Meagan,

thank you for your kind words. Balance is really the key in parenting (at least it is for me.)

Eric,
I have two-year-olds too (actually two of them, I have twins.) I completely understand how difficult sometimes it is to be a parent at this age but at the same time you can have so much fun! Two-year-olds do a lot of things simply because they feel like it and their understanding of the world is so pure and amazing. Sometimes I wish I could look at the world through the eyes of my girls.

Great ideas! I love #3 - Be like a child, its so true! (with a 2 yr old at least!)

I can't wait for my son to get older, so we can do some of these things together!
