I love fall. Fall is my favorite season of the year. What marks fall for me is Thanksgiving dinner. Here in Canada it happens on the second Monday of October each year and is a time to give thanks and celebrate a (hopefully) bountiful harvest.
If your family celebrates thanksgiving with a large family dinner here is a very simple yet personal idea to dress up your table.
Homemade personalized place cards.
What you need:

- Construction paper – as many pieces as there are people
- scissors
- tape
- marker or pen
- pictures – as many as you have people
Fold your construction paper in half and cut to just larger than the size of your picture.
On the back of your picture add a few pieces of acid free tape (if you don’t want to ruin your photos) and place the picture just a bit lower than center on the front of the construction paper.
Write a personal message at the top to person who will be sitting at that spot.
This is a super easy craft you can do yourself or as a family. Use pictures you took this fall of your kids, your neighborhood, your pets or other family members, anything that invokes good memories and feelings of fall for you and your family.
All up one card took me about 3 minutes to make. Not bad eh?
Have fun and Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canucks!

Lovely idea!
Excellent idea, Sherri. Thank you so much for sharing this. Am going to use this for our Diwali dinner table here in India:-)
